Increase Hard Disk Speed

Hard disk is one of the most important part of our computer which governs every task which is being performed by it. It is an outstanding device which stores each of our data & is much safer way as a soft copy other than what we could do on our own as a hard copy.
But many times we have to pay a lot of time on our work then needed due to slow performance of our hard-disk. And this irritates the most, if we are on with something really urgent.

In this post we will make you learn how to increase your hard-disk speed in reading and writing both without any third party software. The only thing you have to remember is that it only works for RAM more than 256 MB.

Steps to be followed:

    1. Open Run Command –> Start–>RUN

    2. Type SYSEDIT.EXE. This will open system editor window
        Expand the system.ini file window.

3. Scroll down almost to the end of the file till you find a line called [386enh].
4. Press Enter to make one blank line, and in that line type
Irq14=4096
Note: This line IS CASE SENSITIVE!

5.Click on the File menu, then choose Save.
6.  Close SYSEDIT.INI and reboot your computer

Finally you are done. Now you can see the improvement after the booting up your computer.
