USB device had become the widest means of data transfer. The reason is USB drive is portable and is not heady to handle. But many times the transfer rate of USB irritates us a bit. The transfer rate either from USB to computer or computer to USB depends on following three main factors:
1. Type of files being transferred:
Simple files such as music, office files, and text files are easily transferred in comparison to the softwares.
2. Age of Pendrive:
Age of any device is key in governing its process. Any device is too old that it’s has a lot impact on its performance.
3. Version of port for USB:
The port in which pendrive is inserted also has its role. Nowadays the USB are made with a port version of 2.0 which does not perform well in older port version of 1.1.

Well the above three factors cannot be controlled but still there are some processes which can give you much speed. These include:
1. Selecting NTFS file system:
The files larger than 4 GB cannot be transferred efficiently without using NTFS mode, so I advise you to select NTFS mode by right clicking on pendrive.
2. Disk Errors should be checked:
Sometimes errors also lead to low speed, so its better you select properties and click on “check now” option to check for any error. Also fix it if there exists some.
3. Can also change device policy:
Under pendrive properties tab, click on hardware select your USB device and click on properties.
Then a new window should pop up in that window click on change settings. Now move on to the policies tab and check better performance and at last click on OK.

Note: If you do change the device policy then it is strictly recommended to safely remove the pendrive from task bar.
